Ok almost everybody out there has heard of the God of War series and I tell you now from the start this is definately a 5 outta 5 star game. It lives up to the series and does not disappoint. The graphics are beautiful, the storyline is wonderful, the gameplay is about as good as it gets folks. Now some may complain that it only takes about 5 hours to beat the game, but really in this day and age 5 hours is an eternity to the A.D.D Generation.

A quick run through:
The game starts off slow and easy to build up your confidence and give you the false impression it’s gonna be too simple and boring. Then it progressivly gets harder to the point you find yourself encountering parts where you die, try again, die, try again, etc. This is where the fun is, what good is a game where you don’t encounter a challenge?

Weapons: You are again faced with upgrading your blades and other various magical attacks, instead of getting a bigger sword/blade like in the first God of War you get a secondary weapon of Zues’ Gauntlet. This thing is pretty sweet you just pound the snot out of your enemy with cool lightning effects and definately recommended maxing out the power of this and the blades of chaos first. The Sun Shield is another useful item added into the game, this should be maxed out soon as well. There is definately no shortage of red orbs in the game so don’t worry. You will max everything out and still have orbs to spare at the end.

Monsters: As always the monsters are all different and challenging in their own ways. The bigger ones get their own lil mini game system where you have the chance to do special executions on them. The harpies later on in the game get a special dive stomp attack that will frustrate you and the bosses don’t really get hard until the last 2 but don’t worry they are fun to slap around

Cons: The only con I found is that playing for extended periods of time caused my thumb to get very sore from the mini joystick on the PSP because this game is very interactive and reliant on you constantly moving that thing.

Overall phenominal game, very much worth your time. Even wish it would be made into a movie that’s how good it is the storyline is just the GOOD.
