PSP GO! TO BE RELEASED @ 2009 E3![]() Posted by on May 21, 2009 00:51 |
1UP is reporting that a revamped version of the PSP will be shown off at E3 2009. Additionally, the same sources indicate that the new system will be called PSP Go! as opposed to a numerical progression like PSP 2 or PSP-4000. This new PSP will apparently release in two SKUs, available with either eight or 16 GB of internal flash memory.
The report backs up the constantly rumored dropping of the UMD drive for the new hardware. As a result Sony will have over 100 full PSP titles, both old and new, available at the system's launch, including Gran Turismo Mobile. The control configuration will have a d-pad, analog nub, and face buttons accessible under a sliding screen, but there will not be a second analog stick.
In the realm of speculation, 1UP theorizes that the new PSP might have a touch screen and camera lifted from the designs of Sony's stillborn Mylo 2 handheld Internet device.
